I already had a limited appreciation for art but, after this reading and just learning in class, that appreciation has grown so much. I've learned to truly understand and recognize the different elements and aspects that go with making digital art that are nowhere to be found when making art on a canvas or with a pen and paper. For example, fully digital pieces of art have so much more room to be incredibly intricate and visually intriguing in a way I find hard to convey through typical paper and pen/ paint art.
Another component of digital art that I've grown to appreciate is the ability to convey hyper realistic scenes of landscapes, people, places, animals, etc. that is just either nearly impossible to convey through traditional art, or you are a very talented artist.
And finally, probably my favorite thing about art in general, but especially digital art is the ability to create just the most absurd pieces of art, yet they still can look slightly realistic.
